S--Lamentations 3:21 “Yet this I call to mind and therefore have hope.”
O--In these passages the writer’s first 21 versus are full of lamentations, complaints and whining over the circumstances of his life.
A--The writer, in spite of his suffering, gains hope in what he knows about his God. He knows that vs.22-23 says “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassion never fails, they are new every morning…great is “His” faithfulness.”
When things get really tough, a love one is ill or dies, accidents, betrayal, loss of job etc. it is easy to become discouraged and feel hopeless…”yet this I call to mind”. This is the time to stop and call to mind who our God is and what He has for us. His "love, goodness and compassion fails not…they are new every morning."
P--Oh God, I thank you for your love, compassion and faithfulness. Thank you that your mercies are new every morning. You are awesome!
