S-Acts 24:27b “But because Felix wanted to grant a favor to the Jews, he left Paul in prison.”
O-Felix was being called to Rome to face charges by the Jews. The Jews did not want to let Paul go. So Felix, not wanting to incite more anger with the Jews, left Paul in jail, knowing he was wrong in doing so.
A-Do we do what is right…or what suits our purpose? Felix could not afford to make the Jews any angrier with him then they were. So he did what was most beneficial for himself. How many times do we have this very same opportunity? God wants us to be honest in ALL our dealings…not just the big ones. Sometimes it is inconvenient to be forthcoming…we might “lose face”…but better to “lose face” with man than with God.
P-Lord help me to do what is right.
