S--Phil.1:6 “Being confident off this, that he who has begun a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
O--Paul, in his letter to the Philippians, is thanking God for them and for their partnership in spreading the gospel. He was also expressing joy in seeing that all his effort in teaching them and prayers for them was bearing good fruit and bringing glory to God.
A--As a teacher of new converts, I understand how Paul feels. When you see one of “your babes in Christ” grow strong in the Lord, it is exciting and encouraging. When you see them fail and walk away it is heartbreaking. The Philippians’ lives encouraged Paul to continue preaching, and was a testimony to his hard work and prayers.
P--Thank you God for your protection and your “keeping powers” Also, thank you for those who invested so much time, sacrifice, and prayer to help me become strong in You. And help me Lord to be better at praying and helping others in their walk.
