S--Matthew 3:8&9a “Produce fruit in keeping with repentance and do not think you can say to yourselves “We have Abraham as our Father;”
O--This is what John the Baptist told a group of Pharisees and Saducees.
A--John’s point was that if we are truly repentant, then our lives will show it…there will be a positive change in our lives (fruit). Also, it doesn’t matter who our parents are or what our “religious heritage” is…Salvation is NOT a birthright, but comes through faith in Jesus as Lord. Ephesians 2:8 says “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith…”
P--Jesus thank you for your awesome sacrifice…taking upon yourself all our sins that we might be saved…help us spread that truth to those who are loss.
