S-Ephesians 6:11a “Put on the full armor of God…”
O-This is a letter from Paul encouraging the Ephesians to get ready to fight the good fight…not against men, but against the spiritual forces of evil.
A- Before we leave the house in the morning we need to be sure that we put on the full armor. Paul explains to us what the “armor of God” is. The belt of truth to be worn around our waist; the breastplate of righteousness; your feet shod with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace; the shield of faith; the helmet of salvation; and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word. Paul wants us to know that we have a full armor waiting to be put on, so we might be able to walk in victory and overcome the enemy. The armor does us no good sitting in the closet. After we have put on the armor… he says now be alert!
P-Help me Lord to be aware of the need to put on the Armor of God. Help me to walk in victory.
