Tuesday 2/2/10 Exodus 33,34; Ps 16; Acts 9 CLOSER THAN A HEART BEAT
S- Ex 33:14,15 The Lord replied, "My Presence will go with you , and I will give you rest." Then Moses said to him, "If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here."
O- The Lord was so upset with the Israelites for their rebellion in creating the golden calf that He told them to leave, go to the Promised land with an angel going before them, but that He wouldn't be going with them - because they were so hard-hearted and stiff-necked. Fortunately, He changed his mind after Moses spoke passionately to Him!
A- Aren't you glad we live on the other side of the cross? We carry His Presence with us. He always goes with us whereever we go. It is part of our inheritance. He promises to never leave us or forsake us. May we always remember and respect who lives in us, continually. We are His temple.
P- Father, thank you for Jesus and the cross. Your Presence is not based on my performance but Jesus' death and resurrection. Thank you for the indwelling Holy Spirit. Thank you that You are always "closer than a heart beat away."
