HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER

by Diana Kriesel

Monday, 5/24/10 – 1 Kings 9; 2 Chronicles 9; Psalm 136; Romans 6 – “His Love Endures Forever”

S – Psalm 136:1 – “Oh, give thanks to the LORD , for He is good! For His love endures forever.”

O – Psalm 136 calls the people to thank the Lord with this reason repeated throughout the psalm: His love endures forever. It appears to be a responsive song; with the first part sung, followed by the response proclaiming God’s enduring love. It appears to be written after captivity; which is a stunning example to us of how proclaiming praise feeds a godly perspective of God’s nature being grounds for our confidence in Him and reason to give thanks.

A – This is a great model for us as believers today - that no matter what we go through in life—the good, the bad, the ugly – our reason to praise Him remains: His love endures forever. It is a reason to hold on to, a reason to endure, a reason to rejoice, and a reason to be determined to finish strong.

P – Father, indeed, we can give thanks to You for EVERYthing, for Your love endures forever. Help us to keep our hearts centered so that every action and reaction that comes forth from our lives has an aroma of praise and thanksgiving, for Your enduring love.
