We say, 'YES, LORD!'

Monday, 5/31/10 – Prov 16-18; Romans 12 – “We say, 'YES, LORD!'”

S – Romans 12:1 – “So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life — your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life — and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for Him.” [Message Bible]

O – How dedicated we are to the Lord is evident by how we live out our daily lives. It is in our surrender that our love for Christ and others is demonstrated. It is that life laid on the altar, that says “Lord, I belong to You”. King Saul failed at the altar and it cost him his kingdom. (see 1 Sam. 13 & 15).

A – Our motive for dedicating our lives is love. Pure and simple. We can surrender our lives out of love for Him for all He has already done for us. We serve Him out of love and appreciation.

P – Father, we desire true dedication, true surrender, to You. In those areas that we are stubborn with, or resistant, forgive us. Open our eyes to see that the victorious joyful life will be the one that says YES to You, even when we don’t agree or understand, because of Your love. And because of Your love, let us return ours to You in surrender.
