Tuesday 5/25/2010 1 Ki 10,11; 2 Chr 9; Rom 6 JESUS, OUR SOURCE OF WISDOM AND RICHES

S - 1 Kings 10:24,6,8 The whole world sought audience with Solomon to hear the wisdom God had put in his heart. The Queen of Sheba said to the king, "How happy your men must be! How happy your officials, who continually stand before you and hear your wisdom!"

O - The Queen of Sheba had heard reports of King Solomon's wisdom and riches; she came personally to check things out because she didn't believe the reports. She was overwhelmed and found his wisdom and riches  to be greater even than what she had heard!

A - I thought of Jesus when I read how the Queen came to test Solomon with questions and nothing she asked of him was too hard to explain.  Not only the Queen, but others from all over the world sat to hear his wisdom. Gosh, do we realize we have the same opportunity with Jesus?  We can sit at his feet and ask him anything! How happy we could be if we took advantage of this opportunity, as the King's men did! We have within us the Spirit of Jesus, an endless source of wisdom and riches at our disposal, 24/7.

P - Lord, forgive me for not seeking your wisdom more regularly.  You live here, right inside me.  You have answers to all of life's struggles and direction for all of life's paths. May I, may we, realize that the King of Kings is right here, right now... ready and willing to share wisdom and riches with us! Thank you, Lord!
