Wednesday - May 12, 2010 - 2 Samuel 21-23; 1 Thessalonians 1
S- 1 Thessalonians 1:5 ...because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction.
O - Paul did not just tell the story of Jesus to the people, but there was power displayed, the Holy Spirit was evident and there was deep conviction for the people of their sin.
A - Are we satisfied with just making sure people hear the gospel? There should be much more than this. Power, Holy Spirit, deep conviction. How many of our newly saved run back out into the world, continuing to commit the same sins they did before salvation? This should not be so! Let us pray that the Holy Spirit come on them with POWER, that they will know the depravity of their wicked ways and sin no more!
P - Father, help me to move and walk in the power of Your Holy Spirit and to be contagious with it, bestowing it on all who come into my presence!
