Wednesday, May 25, 2011 - 1 Kings 10,11; 2 Chronicles 9; Romans 6
S - Romans 6:13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.
O - Paul is telling us to devote ourselves to righteousness now, just as we may have devoted ourselves to wickedness in the past.
A - Sometimes we take advantage of grace. Because of grace, we know that if and when we sin, we will be forgiven. And the sad thing is, sometimes we use this knowledge as a "Get Out of Jail Free" card and allow ourselves to sin because we already know about God's grace and mercy. But, this is wrong. This is only our way of not giving it all to God. We need instead to be totally devoted to being His completely.
P - Show me, Lord, if there is any part of me that I'm holding back from You. Make me into Your instrument of righteousness.
