Ezekiel 17-19; Revelation 7
LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON

S=Scripture=Objective. A=Application, P=Prayer
S-Ez. 18:19 “…why does the son not share the guilt of his father?”

O--Ezekiel is explaining the soul that sins will die.

A--Have you ever heard the expression “like father like son”? Maybe we have even used it…”it not my fault that’s how I was brought up.” Truly we may have strong tendencies because of our upbringing and environment, however, God has a plan for each of our lives and that is “not to harm us but to give us hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11) Ez. 18:20 says”…the son will not share the guilt of the father.” So we need to stop blaming our parents, family and environment and take responsibility for our lives. Ezekiel 18:12b says “Repent and live.“ We need to remember that we are sons and daughters of the Most High God and we can do all things in and with Him.

P--Thank you God for loving and redeeming me. Thank you for giving me a fresh start. Help me live like the daughter of the Most High God.
