FORGIVE US!

Thursday, September 1, 2011 - Ezekiel 15, 16; Psalm 70, Revelation 6

S - Ezekiel 15:8  I will make the land desolate because they have been unfaithful, declares the sovereign Lord.

O - God spoke through Ezekiel to His people living in Jerusalem.  The devastation to their land would come because they had been unfaithful to God.

A - This has been quite a year for our world.  Earthquakes, tsunamis, nuclear disasters, flooding have all devastated land around the world.  Our own state of Vermont has just seen massive ruin by a hurricane that was predicted by man to wreak havoc on the ocean's coast.  2 Chronicles 7:14 says, "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

P - Father, forgive us for standing by silently while ungodly people take over and say that things you have deemed sin are perfectly acceptable and even desirable.  Reveal yourself to those people, forgive them, Lord, and heal our land!
