DO NOT BE FRIGHTENED

by Vivian Bills

Thursday 1/21/10 Exodus 1,2; Psalm 88; Luke 21

S - Luke 21:9 (NIV) - When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away.

O - Jesus told us not to be frightened. There are lots of bad things happening everywhere, but it is not a sign that the devil is winning the war, because Jesus told us these things would happen and He also gave us the ending to the story.

A - I read the book, so I know these things shall come to pass. The atrocities of war are bad, yes, and we should do what we can to bring peace and pray for peace and lead as many into the kingdom of God as we can before the end comes. These bad things will happen because Jesus said they would, but He also told us not to be afraid, so let us march forth with confidence, and continue to do the work He sets before us.

P - Lord, I thank You that You showed us what's on the other side of these things the world is going through. Thank You, Lord, for a happy ending and for being the reason I do not fear.
