THE HARVEST

S- (NIV) Luke 10:2 He told them: “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.
The MESSAGE trans-“What a huge harvest! And how few the harvest hands. So on your knees; ask God of the Harvest to send harvest hands.

O- He says…..”Huge” that is a lot of people……that’s is a gigantic harvest field…..but where are all His servants. He is bringing to our attention the wake up call……MY people, wake up and notice the fields are ready…….the more work we do to touch His people (the harvest field) the more people who will be able to help with the rest of the Harvest. The Harvest grows days by day, until HIS people work the fields and tend to the crop (the lost, the wanderer’s the hurting, the sick, the demonic, the needy… all those in the fields.

A I want to be a worker in the field, one that tills the soils, and picks the crops, waters the ground, and weeds the soil……..whatever it takes Lord. Relationships …..caring about people……meeting needs of the needy….nuturing the lost to see…..feeding those that are hungry, and many more…….this is the work of the farmers (His Servants) to be Christ like to those in our field, or on our paths. To often we miss it, because we did not see the seed that needed water, or stepped on the bud that was about to blossom, cut off the stalk, because we thought it wasn’t ready. The Harvest is around us every day…………………..

P Lord, wake us up! Let us rise with the SON and see what you see in the harvest fields. Teach us who to till the soil and weed the lands………be our teacher, be our eyes, be our ears……teach us sensitivity to know when the storm is coming, and when the draught is near…….teach us your ways. Teach us to be your servants, your workers, in YOUR for your harvest fields.
