DON'T CURSE THE RULER

by Vivian Bills

Thursday - 1/28/2010 - Exodus 21-22; Psalm 12; Acts 4

S - Exodus 22:28 - Do not blaspheme God or curse the ruler of your people.

O - It's in the same sentence. Many of us would not DREAM of blaspheming God, but we are more than willing to curse the one who we deem is the ungodly ruler of our nation.

A - Many Christians are not pleased with the way our current President is running our nation. They didn't vote for him and they certainly do not honor him in any way. And yet the Word of God tells us not to curse the ruler of our people. What are we, then, to do? We should pray for him, that he would come to know Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and savior. And also, that God would influence him to make right decisions. Come on people, let's pray our President into the Kingdom of God!

P - Father, forgive me for anything I may have said that would be considered a curse on our President. Save him, Lord!
