YOU DO NOT ESCAPE HIS NOTICE!
S - Luke 8:45-48 - And Jesus said, "Who is it who touched Me?" When all were denying it, Peter (and those who were with him) said, "Master, the multitudes surround You and press You on every side!" But Jesus said, "Someone did touch Me; for I perceived thast healing power has gone forth from Me." And when the woman saw that she had not escaped His notice, she came up trembling, and, falling down before Him, she declared in the presence of all the people for what reason she had touched Him and how she had been instantly cured. And He said to her, "Daughter, your faith (your confidence and trust in Me) has made you well! Go (enter) into peace (untroubled, undisturbed well-being). [Amplified Bible]
O - A poor, anonymous woman who had been suffering for 12 years reaches a place of desperation and presses past her fears, her issues, her shame, and the crowd, to get into the presence of Jesus. He was her only hope. The Lord responds to her need, heals her, and calls her forth. She not only experienced the blessing of His power, but He also blessed her by calling her 'daughter' and commending her for her faith.
A- Jesus' question to her: "Who touched Me?" does not imply that He did not know, as much as it it points to His desire for the woman to reveal herself in an open expression of her faith. This caused her faith to become public as she fell at His feet. SHE DID NOT ESCAPE HIS NOTICE! Nor do we! When we press in to Jesus, past our "stuff", the ground is leveled...for any and all to come to Him. He loves it when we get desperate and when our focus turns to Him and only Him, causing us to run, no matter what obstacles we must overcome, to get there.
P - Lord Jesus, thank You that WE DO NOT ESCAPE YOUR NOTICE! That even when we don't feel Your touch or sense Your Presence, You are there and You touch us and You heal us and send us forth to share the good news of who You are and what You have done for us!
