There's No place I would rather be

January 17, 2010 Gen: 42,43 Ps. 5 Luke 17
Robin Danaher

S-(NIV) Ps. 5 11-12 But let all who take refuge in you be glad, let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield. (MSG) But you will welcome us with open arms when we run for cover to you. Let the party last all night! Stand guard over our celebration. You are famous God, for welcoming God-seekers, for decking us out in delight.

O- In this Psalm, I see how the enemy can torment us and keep our minds in prison keep us bound and captive, but God has given us the freedom of choice. To live in the place where I would rather be, and that is in HIS presence and in HIS freedom, and place of Mercy and Grace. David is telling us to stay away from the wicked and keep our hearts clear stay away from what drives you away from HIM, but draw towards HIM because there is no better place to be.

A- Being in the presence of God is the very best place. We all fall short of the Glory of god, but Thank God, that He extends HIS grace and mercy everyday for us to be able to enjoy HIS freedom without guilt or condemnation for our sins, but because Jesus paid the price for our freedom. There is no place I would rather be, But God...help me to reach for that goal everyday.

P- Dear Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for my short comings, for my sins. Thank you for sharing the presence of God and for sending your Spirit to us to help and guide us to make God choices and to live Godly examples. Forgive us for our sinful nature that fails every day. Guide us and teach us dear Lord. Amen.
